by AACC Staff on May 26, 2009

Every year one Arabic capital is chosen to be the capital of Arab culture and that capital will celebrate a yearlong until the beginning of a new year and another capital is chosen then the celebration move to the next chosen capital . Last year Damascus was chosen which held multiple events and festivals from poetry reading and Zajal to music and theatrical performances, Art. etc.

This year Al-Quds (Jerusalem ) was chosen, even with all the straggle that the people are facing there due to the occupation and to the fact that the Israeli police shutting down most of the events these people are not giving up and they are trying their best to celebrate their heritage and culture .
